The boat ride is the beginning of your vacation. Across the water from Charlotte, Vermont, Garden Island is 30 acres of shoreline, wooded trails, open meadow, and places to slow down together.
Spend the morning on the lake, wander down to the beach, or settle into a screened porch with nowhere else you need to be. Our family has welcomed guests here since 1973, and many return year after year for the simple pleasure of island life.
Make the island your own
Follow a trail through the woods. Take a kayak or paddleboard out on Lake Champlain. Swim, read by the water, gather for a game, and watch the light change across the lake. The island is yours to explore throughout your stay, with its beach, trails, meadow, and shared waterfront spaces just beyond your door.
